Why won't the court retro childcare without tax id?

My child has been enrolled in a private daycare for several months that I've been paying myself as non custodial parent refused. I was forced to take him to court but the courts won't consider that because the was no tax id. I was still working and obviously paying for someone to watch my child while i work.

I agree with the other attorney, and there may be other tax implications the Judge is considering as well.

I am not sure I understand - the court refused to have the child's father contribute to the work related child care costs because you did not have the Tax ID number for the daycare center? I have been involved in some cases where a relative or friend provided daycare for a custodial parent, and if the court is not convinced that the friend or relative was actually paid for watching the child, the court will not order the other party to contribute to the expenses. I do not know if that is what happened in your matter, but I just wanted to mention it.

By requiring a Tax ID number for the child care provider, the Court wants to ensure that you are actually making payments for child care, and that the individual, or entity, that you are making these payments to, is actually reporting the money received by you as income which will be taxed.

I agree with the other attorneys. The court is trying to ensure that actual payments are being made for childcare. Anyone can say their family is watching the child, but that may not be true.
