How do I get proof that I was not charged for a DUI?

on an armed forces base and detained while underage drinking(at the time) and dui. I however, did not go to trial or courts martial. Is there a way to get any sort of proof that I was just detained and not charged? I should add, I was a part of the military and stationed on said base at the time of the incident.

I can't think of one. If an employer would try to look, nothing should show up. Your local police agencies may find a record of your arrest, but there would be no conviction listed. Likewise your military file may have in it a record of your arrest, but there would be no conviction. If asked, be honest.

I am not licensed to practice law in Texas, so out of respect for any experienced DUI attorney licensed in Texas who also responds to your question, I'd say review his or her answer first. However, to answer your question based on the information you provide, I think you can do a Livescan of yourself and it will show no arrest and just a detention. Use Google for Livescan. It costs about $30 and takes about two weeks to get the report.

Who says that you need to prove a negative? If you must do this, go to the military police and ask for a copy of the report, if there was one.

when you say DUI I take it you mean just that. DUI is for an offense when you are underage. Have a criminal background check done and have it certified. It should show that you have no arrest for the offense.
