I was with my girlfriend for 3 years when she got pregnant she insisted the baby was mine and after her mom pushed for a dna test we found out the baby wasnt mine she wanted me to still.be in the babys life and was willing but she changed her mind after 2 months if she knew the whole time who the babys father was and only used me because he originally didnt want any part of the pregnancy could i be reinbursed for all the money i had spent and for the emotional hurt I dealt with after i had established a bond with the baby . she insisted the baby was mine but I believe she knew the whole time because she told her mom that it was the other guys and the mother never stopped communication with the real father is there anything i can do
How long has it been since you have seen the child? If it is is fairly recent, then file a parentage action in family court, and claim to be the father because you held the child out as your own and provided for the child. The bio dad is not as important as the psychological dad, See a lawyer, as this is a complicated area of the law, but the court focuses on the child and not on the parties. Keep trying to see the baby, Do not ask for reimbursement, but use the fact that you had assisted the mom as part of your basis to find that you are the legal father. And, it doesn't hurt to point out that the bio dad wanted nothing to do with the child.
