Syrian Asylum Seeker in the US My application has been pending for over 2 years no Interview Yet?

Political Asylum 9 views 5 answers
While I was waiting the last 2 years for my application I was helping the US Intelligence community to get vital information about details of the civil war. Recently I stopped doing that. I feel I am a victim of a Federal agency mistreatment. My case is complicated I think The US government has put my application on hold on purpose. What Should I do, Can I just ask for my case to be presented in front of an immigration judge so That homeland security has no influence over my case? Should I leave the country because The US government has been manipulating me and It is so powerful I cant confront?

Many asylum applicants are waiting two years or more for interviews, but you should consult with an attorney about your situation.

1. Two years is about average maybe on the short side. Many people have been waiting longer than you. 2. If your case is complicated or even if it is NOT you NEED an attorney. Many attorneys offer free consultations so you have no excuse. Your information is protected by attorney client privilege no matter what state. An attorney can do the following: 1. Amend your application so it meets the legal standard - do you know what this is? 2. Submit documents and declarations 3. Attend the interview 4. Make arguments in your favor that can make or break a hard case. If you feel the government is manipulating you, you need a lawyer. Pro per applicants fail at an alarming rate. Your application is as good as denied if you don't have an attorney. The statistics do not lie.
