I drop off/pick up my son from his mom for work one day a week. Is that still considered my time for custody purposes?

I currently have my son from Thursday after work until Sunday afternoon. On Friday I drop my son off with his mom while I go to work, and pick him up after work. I believe that time should still be considered my time for custody purposes since I could easily take him to day care instead of dropping him off with his mom. I would like to know how this would typically be viewed in court, and if, in fact, that time should still be considered my parenting time?
The question about why this is important is a good one. I suspect you are concerned about the timeshare for support purposes. It is your time because that is what the order says and you are doing what is best for your son (and probably his mother) so I doubt that she is going back to court and risk having you take him to a child care provider. If this is a young child as I suspect, you and his mother have started down the road of co-parenting that will keep his childhood from being compromised in the way far too many children experience. Good job. From time to time you might want to have your son give his mother a flower or something she would like with a thank you note for being a good mom.
