Got pulled over for speeding. forgot license at home.officer looked up on his system and said my license was cancelled.but checked license at home and the date is valid till next year.not contesting the speeding charges but want to remove "driving while license is invalid" charge from the ticket.Is that possible

Take Deferred Adjudication for the speeding ticket to keep it off your record...if you just pay it, it goes down as a conviction and will cost points on your record. Take proof to court that license is valid, if you can't get it drop at window, enter plea of not guilty, then show up at court appearance and show the traffic prosecutor...also take proof of insurance.

The cancellation might have to do with surcharges or something else. Call DPS and they can look into it for you. Just because your physical license says that its good until a certain date doesnt mean DPS cant take it any from you before then.
