I was discharged from U O C hospital and taken to St.James rehab in Crete Il. the peramedics was told to put me in a room at the end of the hall.I was placed on the foot of the bed where I sat for about a couple of hours.my call for help was not answnered until a little old lady in a wheel chair happened by the door she went for help I was not given any medication until that evening.the next afternoon my daughter had me transferred to warren barr in chicago
I am sorry you were treated so poorly, but it is doubtful that you have a viable claim. If you did not suffer any serious permanent injuries then it is unlikely any attorney would be willing to take on your claim. You should call a nursing home abuse attorney to discuss your case in more detail.

I'm terribly sorry you were treated horribly. Unfortunately, this does happen in many nursing homes. Also unfortunately, there is no real legal remedy for this.
The good thing is you were not really injured. Thus, there are no real damages so there is no validity to a lawsuit against the nursing home.
Your daughter has already transferred you to a much better home. That is what I would recommend anyway. The only other thing I'd suggest is to contact the state agency that oversees nursing homes and complain.

Malpractice cases require significant injuries to justify the expense and work involved. Unlikely the damages here justify dame. contact local counsel to confirm.,
