There is mold and mildew growing within the walls and floors of the house, our kitchen and bathroom gets flooded when it rains. all bathrooms leak, our windows have never been replaced since the house has been built in 1972. There are chewed electrical wires in the attic from the rodents entering through the roof. Dead animal carcasses and feces with the strong smell of urine saturate the insulation in the attic. Call the Anne Arundel County Health Department at 410-222-7363 and report it. I have included a link to them in the link area. This is a matter of State law. I would strongly suggest that you consult with a local attorney (perhaps selected from the website resources) with experience in this area of law, to offer a free initial consultation and perhaps assist with the process. If this information was helpful to you, even if you do not like or agree with the advice, please let me know by clicking on the “Helpful” or “Best Answer” button. Good luck!

You could sue your landlord, yes. The first step is bringing this to her attention and requesting repairs. You may seek the assistance of an attorney so that your request has more "bite" behind it. This can often get the LL moving quicker on repairs knowing that there is the potential for litigation around the corner.

It sounds like a health hazard, a breach of the landlords obligation to provide a tenantable and habitable space. Call the county health department to come out and document the condition, then vacate.
