Is the Fla attorney also representing you? If so, you should call the attorney and ask whatever questions you have. If that atty isn't representing you personally, you should use the find a lawyer feature on and locate an atty in the location the case is pending. you can then find out how Fla handles death claims and distribution of proceeds.

If you are represented, this is a question for your attorney. Do not sign anything without your attorney's approval and only then after it has been explained to your satisfaction. Waivers have significant consequences and usually involve you forgoing a right, thus the Waiver of Rights. Be very cautious and proceed once your questions and concerns have been answered (preferably in writing if need be) by attorney.

Very possibly; but much more detail would be required to give you a solid answer. If you don't have a lawyer, get one immediately. If you have one, he/she is the best person to ask.
