Will I get drug tested when I go to jail? What's the earliest I can get out?

I was told by the judge I'm sentenced to thirty days this was in May and I got to pick when I wanted to serve my time, I have never been in trouble before and he just wants to teach me a lesson. I am clean from any alcohol or drugs I was just wondering if I'm going to have to pay to get tested. I'm going to jail In a week so I was wondering if I will get drug tested when I go to the jail to serve my time. I am currently on probation right now and haven't been drug tested because my crime isn't drug related. Also how early will I be able to get out of jail? Shiawassee county, MI

They may do a drug test or blood test on the way in. I'm not sure if Shiawassee County gives any credits for good time or not, but your probation officer could answer both of these questions. Good luck.

There is no set answer as to whether you will get drug tested or not. Counties and the courts are free to set their own policies. However, it is common that you will have to pay for the testing if testing is required. The same is true for good time. Counties can institute their own policies. Most have 1 good day for every 5 or 6 days served, but you would have to check with the Sheriff's Department to make sure.
