Am I eligible for e-filing of I-765? And Do I need to pay for I-765?

I have already sent my I-485 but I missed to send I-785 form with that. I got receipt for I-485. Now I want to file I-765 without any delay. I thought E-filling might be the faster than paper based. I am wondering to know whether I am eligible for E-filing and Need to pay or not.

While in theory you are eligible to file an I-765 electronically, I strongly recommend that you refrain from doing so and file via "snail mail" instead. Otherwise, you may come to regret your temptation to "quickly" file electronically, due to the fact that the "ELIS' system is still full of ridiculous bugs and hardly functions the way one expects it to. It risks being a nightmarish experience. You deserve better.

Don't do it. The e-filing system is horrible and breaks down quite often. NO, it does NOT save time.

E-filing is a relatively new system that, in my opinion, needs a lot of additional work for USCIS. I would and always do it a traditional way. I simply fill out necessary forms and march into my local Post Office.

You need to prepare the FORM I-765, pay the filing fee, attach the FORM I-485 receipt and forward by overnight mail to USCIS.
