my husband goes to school in a different state and comes home at the end of every semester. i couldn't afford renting apartment because i was supporting him financially and things were hard for me so i rented a room from a couple. we able to adjust well since he doesn't stay long when he comes home. immigration want a joint lease with but i can't afford because it was a room i rented and they didn't give me a lease. can i get a note from the couple that my husband n i rented from them or let them make us a lease.

More than a lease is needed to prove the Bona fide marriage. I know money is tight, but talk to an immigration lawyer before filing. Your situation is a difficult one.

You wil need more than a lease to establish you married in good faith. If you do not have a joint lease, you will need other documentation. A notarized letter from the couple whom you rent a room from would be helpful. However, this letter by itself will not be enough.

You will need other materials such as photos, love letters, facebook messages, etc.
