I work for Company A on H1B valid till 2017. Company B filed a petition for me. Can Company C file yet another petition for me?

I work for Company A, they have now filed a location amendment petition for a transfer that they did in April (based on a recent USCIS ruling). Company B has now filed a new petition for me after Company A's filing. Can a Company C file yet another petition later on for me using the receipt notice of the petition filed by Company A - or do I need to provide Company C with the receipt notice of Company B's petition? I have read about the H1B bridge petitions where a second petition needs to be approved before a 3rd petition can be approved. Hence the question. PS : I still work for Company A. Thanks!

Yes, a new employer can file an H1b petition for a person who is in H1b status, even with a pending petition from a different employer for H1b status. USCIS will indeed need to make some kind of decision on the second application. The last application that they approve will determine your status.

Yes, C can file petition for you. if you are still working with A, petition gets approved you can change employer to C or if B gets approved first, you will be able to join C
