Son got super speeder ticket a month ago. His court date is Tues the 28th however no one can find it. I have been calling probate and they cant find it they say to call juvenille and juvenille says they do not have it either. I was wanting to talk to someone before court to c whet we can do. What do you do when ticket has not been turned in?
The ticket should be with the jurisdiction listed on the ticket. I would not rely on their representation that the ticket isn't in the system. Your son should appear on the 28th and if his name is not called then you can inquire. An underage person with a super speeder ticket is a serious situation that could result in license suspension. I agree with the prior response that you should not take the fact that the clerk's office cannot find the ticket to mean it isn't there. You should make sure you and your son appear that day. It would be best to at least speak with local counsel regarding the possible effects of this ticket to your son's license.
You need to go to court, and get a fail safe letter from the clerk. This letter states the court cant find the ticket, and he is not to be arrested if pulled over and a warrant shows for missing his court date.
The Safe thing for your son to do is go to court on the date printed on the ticket. Then at court check with the Clerk of Court, if he is not on the calender - get written confirmation that he appeared and his case was not called.
