Hi,
I would like to import goods from India and china to US. These might include fabrics, Kitchen ware, and some organic fruits (dry and fresh) and RIce?
I would like to know, if there are taxes applicable on importing these items?,
what does the tax amount depend on?
Do I need to hire a custom clearance agent?
Any source of information regarding custom clearance agents?

You really need to consult with and hire a lawyer who does import export work. The relatively generic information in your post makes it difficult for anyone to provide specific answers.
