I was sued for nonpayment of a credit card by Capital One Bank and the attorney has yet to give a balance on what I owe.

I have paid over $6000.00 towards my account, but to this day, I have not received any account balance on this account. I have no idea what my balance is, I have made requests almost every month for an account balance without success. I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General, just to request an account balance and the AG cannot seem to help.

If still in litigation, send discovery. Get a lawyer and it will be easier on you.

They brought the suit, you should get an attorney to defend yourself and seek, through discovery, how they calculate your account in the balance due.

The Michigan Attorney General cannot represent you in a private civil lawsuit. If you want an attorney to assist you, you will have to retain one if it is not too late. Your rules of civil procedure probably have rules in place to provide for an accounting and for discovery to be used to establish the amount sued upon. You can file a motion in the court that issued the judgment and request an accounting. Advise the court of your payments, if it is in excess of the judgment, keep in mind the plaintiff can charge interest based on the account agreement.
