Got a Non traffic citation for picking someone up at the Airport for pay. Will this show up on my background check?

I already plead not-guilty and have a court case next week, but the law is pretty black and white. I didn't have the permit to pick someone up for pay. Is this considered a Summary offense and will this be on my background check as a criminal offense if guilty? I don't see how this is a "crime" rather a violation, but thats what it's showing.
