My friends's mother has a PFA order against him.The PFA will end in a few days, but had requested an extension through woman in crises. Her reasoning for the extension is absurd and does not validate any grounds to extend it. Her reasoning is as followedwhile the order was in effect, her husband passed away, resulting in her living along. While the order was in effect, my boyfriend was released from jail to come to find out his mother fraudulently used to bank account to pay bills and forged a check in his name. He filed a lawsuit, lost (not sure how) and she swore on this statement she does NOTknowhis motive for filing a law suit and says his continuous behavior towards her causes her to fear that he poses a risk of harm to her body! he hasn't spoke to his mother in 4 years!

There are no crimes surrounding your fact pattern that are actionable regarding the PFA. Your boyfriend can file a declaration opposing the statements made by his mother then it is up to the trier of fact to decide whether to extend it.

There is no basis to sue your friend's mom, because in Pennsylvania (and most states) legal actions such as this are immune from defamation suits. It sounds like he already lost a lawsuit on the forgery and fraud, so there isn't anything to be done there either. Hiring a lawyer to defend against the PFA was the smart way to go.
