Being sued for a personal loan that i don't admit or deny, but its been since 2/18/2010 that the supposed note was signed by me. This person who i interacted with on a daily basis till recently never mentioned about payment or debt till now. I received a Demand for Payment this week.

Generally 5 years for a written contract but it is from the date of the breach not the signature/execution. So whenever you stopped paying, or payment was due in the language of the note is that breach. Ie. If the note required payment after 5 years from signing then the SOL doesn't start running until that 5 years is up. You would need a lawyer to review this note and determine the SOL.

They may be outside of the statute of limitations to sue you. Consult with an attorney to review the note you have and advise

I agree with the other attorneys. It's best to have an attorney review your contract for any technicalities. I would not want to give you advice without reviewing the K and SOL together.
