Bail, and bondsmen in georgia...

hello, I was bailed out with a remainder of $1100 left to pay, separated into monthly payments, my court case concluded with me getting probation, I sent in paperwork showing my case has closed, now i know i have an outstanding balance to pay, and I will, but I am behind a few days of the payment, and received a call stating that my bail was going to be revoked because of non payment, can they do this? is this considered a criminal act? can they revoke and place me back in jail after my case has closed for non payment?

You have a contractual obligation to pay but they can no longer dangle sending you to jail over your head. They could potentially sue you for breach of contract. It all depends on the bonding company to determine how far they will go.

The short answer is no - once your case is completed you are no longer on bond / bail and therefore it cannot be revoked. You are obligated by contract to pay the bonding company as agreed but you are no longer on bond.

No. You cannot be sent back to jail. You are obligated to pay according to the contract, but jail is not an option for them to inflict upon you. All they can do is sue.
