I have been receiving numerous texts from a buisness on my cell phn that practically fills up my phn and sometimes I am not able to use my phn because the texts keep on blasting my phn for ~1 hr. its not possible to block the number since it keeps on changing.
You can consult with an attorney, but it may be more practical to just get a new number. It depends on how difficult it would be to migrate to a new number, and how much money you would be willing to spend litigating the issue.
Are all the text messages coming from the same business? Do you know the name of the business? If so, ask an attorney to send them a strongly-worded cease and desist letter. If you can't afford to pay an attorney to stop this nuisance, try seeking help from a local legal aid organization. There are lots of large law firm in Santa Clara who offer volunteer attorneys to the non-profit legal aid firms. Good luck.
Is there anything in the subject or message of the texts that lead you to believe that they are all from the same company or business? Are they seeking to collect money from your or just generally sending you advertisements? I agree with the other attorney responses, but you may also be best served by contacting your cell phone provider to see if there is a way to block solicitations on your cellular plan.
Check with your phone provider such as verizon or who ever you have contracted with. See if they can block the sender for you, or advise you of the best way to prevent the E-mails from coming to your address. You can always change your number but that may not work if they access your new number. There is a possibility that this is a scam system and your local police may be interested in what is happening. I would try the above before I try civil litigation. To answer your question, yes, a general litigation lawyer can help you.if all else fails.
