How long am I allowed to stay in the U.S on a tourist visa?
i wish ti visit my girlfriend in a few weeks on my tourist visa... what is the maximum amount of time i can stay in the U.S legally on my new B1/B2 visa?

There are people who can easily stay up to six months. However, it will be up to the Officer to decide who long you can stay in USA.

Tourist visas will usually be provided for a period of 1-10 years but your period of stay should be from 3 to 6 months. All the best.

The CBP officer at the airport or POE should be admitting you for 6 months, but it will all depend on the individual CBP officer who will be inspecting you.
