2 points will transfer to New Jersey. It is always best to retain counsel. It may be possible to amend to a non moving violation. I really don't know what they do in PA. But any moving violation will result in 2 NJ points.

NJ will assess points to your license for an out-of-state offense. It is a good idea to get a lawyer, as it is often possible to work out a deal which does not involve the points.

I concur with the recommendations of my distinguished colleagues. This will only result in 2 points, if you are convicted. You really should retain a local PA attorney to handle this for you, so perhaps you can get it down to something with no points. However, it will affect your insurance costs. Good luck.

Listen to the excellent answers of James Abate and Leonard Boyer who told you to get a PA lawyer and fight the ticket you don't want the two points here in NJ and it also adds another line or your abstract which looks bad when a cop stops your or you go to court and try to tell the judge you have a clean record. Good Luck
