Court appearance pending plus outstanding bench warrant on a different case

My ex husband and I have a family law hearing coming up. He has an outstanding bench warrant which been issued a few weeks ago for failure to appear in a misdemeanor case, $12,000 bail. My mother wants to alert the bailiffs about it but I don't know if that'd be beneficial. Do they usually allow them to complete the hearing and then make an arrest or they don't even get that chance? I'd like our family law case to move forward and avoid obstacles.

Lovely..............your husband will probably be arrested at the courthouse. You'll have to decide if you think that's helpful. This is more a family law question really.

There is a good chance he would be arrested at the courthouse on the active warrant.

In my experience many times the person was arrested immediately, and only once were they allowed to complete the hearing. Unless his crime relates to your case somehow I can't see that it would be helpful to you, it will probably only cause delay and increased hostility. that being said, it would be up to the Judge whether to proceed without him, which may allow you to get what you are asking for at the hearing.
