Do I need to pay recovery pay.com??

So a simple misunderstanding at Wal-Mart about a $12 foundation fell into my basket and I didn't realize it because I had a jaket in the basket. Any way they are requesting $200 and when I looked up the Ohio rev.code ann 2307.60,2307.61 it says anything $50 or less is only a $50. Ive read many things saying it's a scam and to ignore the civil claim no police were involved and the L.P. said it was just a warning since I couperated and no charges were going to be made.

I have even attempted to contact such companies on multiple occasions and they have refused to respond. It is possible that they could file but I think the chances are rather slim. They are toothless threats and they will not pursue the matter in civil courts as it's not worth their time or expense.
