Marriage to US citizen student on F-1 visa after graduation before going on to graduate school?

My US citizen girlfriend and I (a foreign student on an F-1 visa) were thinking of getting married around graduation in June of this year, filing Adjustment of Status paperwork at the same time. I hope to either enroll in a US graduate school in August/September, or use my OPT to work full time researching at my current school. My question is would my AOS pending status affect my ability to enroll in graduate school (and accept financial aid) or to use OPT/gain work authorization? If so when would be the best time to get married?

Your AOS will not impede you. You will be issued an employment authorization document with the adjustment application and that should enable you to work or enrol in school.
