I got a ticket from a red light camera in federal way Washington for going red on a right light. need help fighting it

The ticket says I was going 16 through the turn. The video shows I did cross the line half a second after the light turned green. The photo overview in the video clearly shows that there were no warning signs up on that light at the time I got the ticket. What are the laws regarding warning signage? Apparently this insection previously had cameras for E and W traffic but N and S bound traffic was not photo enforced until 12-31. There are now 4 signs up at that intersection. However there are several other intersections in that area with cameras that have no signs. Two of my cowrokers got tickets at the same intersection during the same two week period for the same right on red violation. Any advice in fighting this?

RCW 46.63.170(1)(h) (I have provided a link to the statute below) requires that the intersection must be "clearly marked by placing signs in locations that clearly indicate to a driver that he or she is entering a zone where traffic laws are enforced by an automatic traffic safety camera." You may be able to make the argument that insufficient signage was present at the time of your infraction to satisfy this portion of the law.

Question the underlying affidavit language if it isn't compliant with WA requirements it is hearsay and not admissible. If there is no underlying affidavit, then there can be no valid charge against you. Hope this helps.Elizabeth Powell
