Theft in the first degree is defined as any theft which exceeds two thousand five hundred dollars ($2500) in value, or the theft of any motor vehicle, or theft by common plan or scheme involving one or more persons to another person with the aggregate value of property stolen of at least one thousand dollars ($1000) within a 180 day period. See, Code of Alabama, 1975 section 13A-8-3. Theft in the first degree is a Class B felony offense and carries a sentence of not less than two years and not more than 20 years imprisonment. You are eligible for probation and suspended sentence is the court imposes sentence of less than 15 years.

I would strongly discourage posting information about your pending case on this website. You are facing enough jail time that you need to consult with a lawyer in your area. If you cannot afford a lawyer, you should ask the judge to appoint one for you. In the meantime, you should refrain from publicly sharing information about your case.
