How will I know if someone had file a police report on me?

I almost hit a pedestrian today in parking garage in houston, texas. It was a close call i stop to apologize but she started to swear at me and that is it. I left after that. i don't know if she got my plate. If she did file a false report as a hit and run how will I know? Is the police suppose to show up at my house right away or there is a warrant for my arrest? I wanted to file one in case she did file a false report but my police station don't worry. Can I get some advice. Thanks

You should be able to check at your local police station to see if a police report has been filed against you. You can always check back with the police station after a couple of days. Walter Kane

Do two things. FIrst, contact you insurer to report there was no accident. Then see the police A police complaint would be at the nearest police station. Check there to see if any hit and run report, false as it may be, was filed against you. While there, you will be making a record of your concern and that any such false report is just that, false.
