My DUI was expunged. Will my car insurance rates rise?

Hi. I got a DUI (along w/ reckless driving and engaging police in a pursuit) in November 2008. I refused the breathalyzer test. I took an alcohol class and had the charges expunged. I pay only $65/mo for my car insurance. I will be moving to another state soon. Will my insurance company be able to see these charges when I call them to tell them I've moved? Or because it's been expunged, will it be off my driving record? Thanks.

Expungement means it no longer exists on your record, however, insurance companies are notorious for charging for anything they can get away with if they have any basis whatsoever. My suggestion is if they do charge you that you fight it strenuously by engaging an attorney and pointing out that if the state expunged your conviction or charge, then they have to abide by it too. Good luck.
