What are my options, I have live in the property for 4 days signed the lease 15 days ago and have been discriminated on for an argument that I had in my apartment. I received a notice on my door 4 days after living there that my boyfriend needs to sign a lease. I asked to be released from teh lease and pay the months rent and be out of here and they won't let me leave, they are stating that I just have to break the lease because they want money. Is there any statue of limitation on how long/ short of a time I have to break my lease without penalty. Please help I really need to get out of this place. they have an issue they claim with noise complaints and Im not sure from where this will just be a horrible year if I have to stay here but I want to rent elsewhere without penalty on my credit
You have a tough case. You have signed the lease, so you are bound by it. They are telling you that if your boyfriend wants to live there, he must sign the lease. That means that you are obligated to live there or pay the consequences if you try to terminate the lease early. Moreover, your boyfriend can't live there without signing the lease.
You mentioned discrimination, but I did not notice any facts that sounded like discrimination in your question. I suggest you consult a lawyer who knows this area of the law. Since you live in West Chester, you might consider a lawyer from your who answers many landlord-tenant questions. However, he may represent your landlord, so you should ask about that first.
