Long story short; I was t-boned on the 9th & taken to the hospital for left leg injury & concussion. Was ticketed for dui 1st offense. I'm a taxi driver. 10:00 in the morn, come on really?. Just got the results of blood test last week, no alcohol or drugs. The police department told me they we're not going to file it. Hhhmm wonder why? Its crooked. The owner of my taxi company took my cab & will not let me get back in business. Mind u, 2 years ago I was literally almost killed by a drunk driver. Pronounced in critical condition on the news. Spent few weeks in hospital & had 2 learn how to walk again. Settled on a lawsuit suing him for a bullshit $50,000 (long story& running out of room) can I Sue police for false dui arrest & owner of taxi company for taking my taxi &NotLettingMeGetItBck?

Your best option was for recovery from the person causing your injuries. It is unlikely that you could maintain a claim against the police department. You may have a valid employment claim, but, that would need to be reviewed by an employment attorney. If you are interested in pursuing such a claim, you should contact an attorney right away.

Mr. Coluccio is absolutely correct. You should consult with an employment attorney to review the pertinent details of the case including your employee contract. I hope you found my answer helpful.

I agree with Myr. Coluccio as well. Focus on the individual that caused the injuries, while also having the situation evaluated by an employment attorney. Mike Walker

Go after the other driver. Not likely to be able to recover from the cops.
