It is difficult to answer your question without knowing any facts. If you are seeking an attorney consultation, perhaps someone with civil rights experience may be best suited to advise you. Please keep in mind that if you want to bring a claim against a public entity or public employee, the NJ Tort Claims Act, Title 59, requires you to file a notice of claim within 90 days of the date the claim arose. If no such notice is filed, you lose your rights. So please do not delay in seeking a consultation with an attorney if you want to pursue this claim.

If you can prove that the officer made knowingly false statements that, in fact, were the actual cause of your being improperly placed on house arrest you - or preferably your attorney - should bring that evidence to the attention of the parole officer's supervisor, the prosecutor, and the judge.
