How can I generate referrals for my Las Vegas Personal injury practice?

Tourists are injured all the time and seek counsel in there home state; these cases have to be handled by Nevada Counsel. Naturally, I pay referral fees. Any thoughts on how to from a referral network for trot cases? Litigation cases?

As a lawyer, you can handle cases in any state (pro hac vice), thus, they do not need an in-state lawyer. To answer your question, there are many avenues of advertising: internet, television, radio, print ads, etc. You can also get some large verdicts like my firm so you can get free publicity in the newspapers. Good luck.

At least in Houston some of the more successful plaintiff attorneys target their advertisements (billboard, television commercials etc.) to the Spanish-speaking audience since they are often part of an underserved community. You might consider adopting a similar form of marketing to generate new business in lieu of the referral network.

I accept referrals from out-of-state counsel and serve as local counsel for attorneys who wish to handle Nevada matters. Please send me a private message if you would like to discuss.

Network, network, network. Join the Nevada Justice Association and give to their PAC (Citizen's for Justice). Join the American Justice Association. Join the ABA and their PI section. Get on listservs for all of these, and go to their conventions and events. Join the Clark County Bar Association and go to their events. Get on every referral list you can find (including the State Bar, the NJA, and the State Bar's LRIS). Volunteer for "Ask a Lawyer" events. All of these get your name out there, so people think of you. Handle all your cases with the utmost in professionalism, and success, and the referrals will build upon themselves.
