Last night i made a left turn crossing a double yellow line and i got pulled over. As officer asked i gave him all my documents and also gave him family member PBA card. He asked me if i know what i got pulled over for so i told him no because i didn't know. When he explains it to me i tell him that everyone does it so how come i get pulled over not others ? He starts complaining about my attitude and went back to his car. He came back after 40 minutes giving me 4 tickets. 1st. is for unclear plates ( i have a plastic cover on plates that u can buy in walmart,autozone) 2nd. careless driving. 3rd. for crossing double yellow line and 4th ticket for my light. Apparently my light in the back doesnt work but i had my fog lights on and German cars have only 1 fog light in the back what do i do

What is more important for you to learn about this is that talking back to a policeman at the scene of a stop works ZERO percent of the time. And, it almost always INCREASES the time of the stop and motivates the officer to dig in his heals.
Next time, cooperate and I bet you'd only have gotten a warning or perhaps just the light out citaton

It is a violation to cross a double yellow line. Sounds like you talked yur way out of any chance of a warning for the PBA card and earned an additional 3 tickets. The officer has sent a message to the prosecutor by jamming you up. He have sent a literal message and written "no deal" on the ticket. You are facing several tickets and possibly 6 points. As my colleagues pointed out, you talked your way into those tickets. Think of a traffic officer as someone out fishing. When they cast their line into the water, the expect to get a fish on the hook, a single fish, not the entire school of fish that goes swimming by. In this instance, you were the fish. It does not matter how many other people were breaking the law, you were the one that got caught. That plastic cover over your license place serves no valid purpose, it is illegal...so are the license plate frames that announce where the car was purchased, sports team, college, etc. Crossing the double yellow line is illegal, and having a malfunctioning light is illegal. You may have explanations/reasons/excuses, but the bottom line is, you need to deal with these tickets. You need to find an experienced local attorney to help you in this instance. Good luck.

The prosecutor in Linden is a good guy. The new judge is also reasonable. You should consider yourself lucky Judge Deleo is no longer there. The equipment violations are 0 points, the yellow 2 points I believe, it depends on which statute he wrote up, and the careless 2 points. You likely need an attorney to have any chance of getting rid of both point tickets. An attorney may even be able to get a 0 point ticket with a low fine. If that can be done the attorney's fee is paid for and then some. Call with more information.
