Is retail arbitrage legal?
Anonymous3 views2 answers
I want to sell items on ebay, buying them on amazon for less.
It's something like dropshipping but I don't know if I can do it.
So when orders come in, I will buy the items on amazon and send them directly to the buyers.
Amazon says that the site is only for personal use, so is it legal to do that?
Thanks for the help.
Almost certainly not permitted under Amazon terms of use, as you already seem to realize.
Further, almost impossible to accomplish to do and make money when you factor in shipping and fluctuating market.
You have answered your own question..."Amazon says that the site is only for personal use." While it might not be "illegal" you run the serious risk that Amazon will discover what you are doing and that will be the end of your Amazon days...not worth it. Amazon certianly operates within our realm of "laws" however do not forget that it is a private company and can do and say a whole bunch of stuff, just because it wants to...Do not poke the dragon if you want it to work for you...
