EAD approved after I-485 rejected.

My I 485 was rejected 2 months ago by AAO ( did not appeal/ send my application to them). It was denied because of 3 yr bachelor degree instead of 4. I also have 2 yr Masters degree and a valid state and nation approved license to practice. I have worked in the field for almost 7 yrs, but 5 when I applied for it. We applied under EB2 in 2010. after i got Denied, I got a letter that they were going to send my application to Nebraska. Not sure why :( My I485 was rejected from the first office and now its being processed at Nebraska. I just got my EAD approved with AP. Is this normal or was it a mistake by USCIS. Please advice.

It appears to be a mistake. Do NOT USE the EAD/AP. Meet with your lawyer to discuss how to send it back and whether or not EB-3 would have made more sense.

These are the types of case-specific, multi-faceted questions that need to be posed to the EMPLOYER'S attorney who prepared the original petitions, since only he/she is intimately familiar with your case and all its pertinent facts. We do not have enough information here with which to give you intelligent answers.

It would appear to be a mistake. You should retain an experienced immigration lawyer, whether myself or one of my colleagues, to review all the facts, advise you, and handle the case.
