What is the legal status of adult film production in the State of kentucky?
I want to know what the legal status of making adult films in kentucky is, and, if it is possible to legally produce adult films, what steps I would need to take to ensure I am not violating any laws. I want to produce films here in kentucky and sell them on pay-per-download sites. I'd also like to act as a talent agent for aspiring adult film models and gain referral revenue from larger agencies/studios. I am aware of obvious laws I must comply with, such as 18 u.s.c 2257 (all models must be adults with proof of age kept in records), but there seems to be a lot of gray area in the obscenity, pandering, and prostitution statutes. So in short, I want to know if it's legal to produce and if so what licensing, tax, and other legal pitfalls need to be avoided.
