Is it legal for a landlord to record audio of their tenants, without the tenants knowledge?

My landlord has informed that she has audio of my conversations that are taking place while I'm renting an apartment in her home. I was never made aware of this, until she informed that she has 6 to 8 hours of audio of personal conversations of me and my boyfriend. Is this legal?
