You can't be certain without looking at the Probable Cause Affidavits that the police filed to support the arrests, but most likely it means that there were three separate incidents where your boyfriend is accused of entering or trying to enter a home or apartment or building that he had no right to enter and did so without permission from whoever owns or controls the buildings. The theft charge is a misdemeanor amount. It could be for something that they are saying he took from one of the buildings, or it could be from a completely unrelated incident. You can go to the clerks' offices and look at the PC Affidavits in the files. You will need his name and date of birth to locate the files.

Most likely two charges of residential burlglary, one for attempted residential burglary and a misdemeanor theft class B. Understand, residential burglary in Texas is burglary of a place that is made, used, or adapted for overnight accomodations. That's how Texas defines habitation. But, most such places are residences, so it's a good short hand way of understanding the basics. If these are pending, understand the burglaries, especially when there are several, are quite serious charges. Time to get a good criminal defense lawyer.

Attempted burglary is just what it sounds like. It would be a third-degree felony instead of a second degree, so the maximum punishment is ten years in prison instead of twenty.

It is hard to say without more information. AS stated in the previous answer you would need to see the affidavit of probable cause on file. This will assist you in determining if the police are speaking about one location or more than one. The Burglary of a Habitation is a second degree felony with a range of punishment of 2-20 years. The charge of attempted burglary is a hard one to answer. It could be attempted burglary of a habitation, in which case, it would be a third degree felony with a range of punishment of 2-10 years. Or it could be attempted burglary of a building; it would be a class A misdemeanor with a range of punishment up to one year. Additionally it could be attempted burglary of a motor vehicle. I doubt this based on the other charges. The theft of property $50-$500 would be a class B misdemeanor with a range of punishment up to 6 months. Of course probation is possible available based on your boyfriends background and the state’s opinion of the charges. You should contact a skilled criminal defense lawyer and have him see your boyfriend . Good luck
