I was recently arrested for marijuana possession but when my name and ssn was ran through the police computers my probation didn't show, they didnt ask about it like they usually would and have no info about a probation officer. I got a citation for first time possession and was wondering if my probation officer would find out, should I tell him? How can the p.o find out if the police didn't know I was on probation?

Your PO probably has access to the local database that will show new charges. If he checks, he will find out. You are in a tough situation, but its probably safest to tell him because then it doesn't appear as if you are hiding anything once he finds out. All in all, you need to stop using marijuana....especially when you are on probation for the same offense. Best of luck to you.

how do you know that your probation did not show? They may not have run a full history check, although they normally do show on an arrest history check. The safest thing to do is stand up and take responsibility for your actions. Do not admit guilt, just advise that you were arrested. Talk to your attorney. Do not talk to law enforcement without your attorney. Good luck.
