Subpoenas can be quashed for a number of reasons including improper service, insufficient notice, filed in the wrong court, inadequate fee paid, etc. etc. none of which have anything to do with the merits of the subpoena. Depending on why it was quashed will determine if a similar or identical subpoena can be reserved.
