Most paperwork completed on my own but want legal representation.
I am in the downtown area (Los Angeles) near the courts so if there is an attorney located in the general vicinity, it would be helpful. I plan to file an extension TODAY with the court to allow for more time to complete the Chapter 13 Plan.
Many of us will offer free consultations, this office included. More importantly, you are wise to enlist the help of a law firm that will prepare your case WITH you and based on what the law requires, including the local rules ( versus simply filing the case you prepared, on your own).
There are numerous pitfalls when filing a chapter 13 case and in crafting & proposing a chapter 13 plan that will be approved. Here, experience of a bankruptcy law firm counts.

p.s. if you need your case filed on or before 1/30/2013, best to get your lawyer retained now/immediately, and not delay any longer.
I too can file your Chapter 13 paperwork, and represent you at the Meeting of Creditors and the Plan Confirmation Hearing. I'm sure any bankruptcy attorney in the LA area would do the same. I think the best approach for you would be to find an attorney near where you work or live, so that it makes it easier to go to their office to review & sign papers, drop off additional needed information, etc. Your question states you are in "Los Angeles" but of course that is a huge area. My office also provides free initial consultations. (805) 578-2772, but I"m in Simi Valley so unless you are, for example, in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, it wouldn't make sense to come out to Simi. So I would suggest entering a comment to let us know where in Los Angeles you are, so other attorneys that are nearer your location can contact you. Or just pick one that based on their responses you know to be near you. The important thing is to hire counsel as soon as possible so that they have enough time to properly complete your filing.
