I am unemployed and my unemployment ran out a long time ago. How am I supposed to live? The money was to get my license and buy a car to get a job. The bank said they have a pledge on the money. That is every cent I have.

If you bank account has been levied, then you may want to file a Claim of Exemption, the procedure for which can be found at 703.510 et seq. of the California Code of Civil Procedure. You only have 10 days to file, so I suggest you consult with an attorney in your area immediately. With regard to your child support, if you have been unemployed for a while, then I hope you filed a request for a downward modification of your child support. If you did not, you must do so immediately since the prior court order (presumably attributing a higher amount of income to you) stands as valid until you modify it. I am including links below which will explain how to modify your child support order. Good luck.
