I need help. It's becoming urgent. My son's mother keeps harassing me through text, and doesn't let me see my son. I pay child support and med insurance, and she moved out of the area without telling me. She keeps harassing me through text at late hours of the night about money, and the money is automatically taken from my checks for both child support and med insurance. I can't find any help for my rights as a father, and right now my money is slim. I need someone's help. Please. I can't take this anymore. She won't stop and it's driving me crazy.

Other than the child support order, has the court ever ordered any type of time-sharing schedule? If not, you will need to file a Petition with the court to get a Parenting Plan in place to ensure your rights.

If you were never married and she got child support through a DOR action you need to file a paternity action. If there was already a time sharing order she couldn't move without your permission and a court order and she could be held in contempt and lost custody. She cannot condition your visits on the payment of child support. You will need an attorney. If the texts are bothering you, download an app to block her.

If there is a parenting plan in effect and she is violating it, by withholding visitation, file a motion for contempt. If there is no parenting plan, file a motion to establish a parenting plan. Continue to pay child support as that is an independent obligation. You would benefit from assistance from a family law attorney. Contact your local bar or use 's find a lawyer section. Many family attorneys have payment plans, and many offer free consultations. Good luck.
