Check the Agency Regulations. You have been charged with a misdemeanor, i.e. a crime. But you have only been charged. Many licensing boars (for example Pharmacists) require that you report a conviction, not an arrest. Check and see which applies to you. Also, as a professional, you recognize the value of representation. Hire an attorney experienced in the area of DWI defense to assist you. he or she can research this and other questions that will arise from this charge. Good luck. Christopher I. I am not a NY attorney but I can't imagine you would have to report the arrest itself. Speak to your attorney about reporting requirements in the event of a conviction.

You should review the particulars of your license agreement or check with the State but generally you don't report the arrest until you have to renew your license. Joseph A. Lo Piccolo, Esq. As a licensed professional that puts food on your table with your license, you should not be asking this question of random lawyers for free but retaining a lawyer that specializes in representing medical professionals in license revocations situations finding out exactly what your rights and responsibilities are as it pertains a DUI conviction.
