Victims of the immigration fraud
My husband came on a student visa, stayed and worked here illegaly for almost 10 years. His SS number is real . There was this "paralegal office" that advertised their services in the local newspaper and promised legalization for the people who were out of staus. He paid them money and in several months they gave him a copy of his " greencard" ( the card itself he was supposed to get once he brings the rest of the money) His SS# and this copy he used to apply for a job at one company, he was hired and he paid taxes.
It turned out this "office" was making bogus documents, got busted by FBI and the owners were jailed. Now we are filing for adjustment of status and will be going to 1st interview. Do we have to bring his income tax returns? ( we did not know his green card was fake)
