Is the sellers disclosure part of the official legal real estate documents in fl?

Does the sellers disclosure have any legal standing in the state of florida? I am asking because we have a major (expensive) problem with drainage at our house we purchased and the seller checked NO for any drainage problems. Everyone in the neighborhood knew this house had problems. Just wondering if we had any legal recourse.

Yes. If the seller knew of the drainage problem and did not disclose this to the buyers you will have recoruse. In these cases, you will have to "prove" they knew of the defect. It is possible that "they should have known" but these cases are more difficult. The operative case is Johsnon v. Davis that requries seller disclose known defects to potential buyers.
