I was struck in the right side of head and part of right eye with a large piece of wood by someone in attendance at a conference.

You need to provide more facts. Just because someone hit you does not necessarily mean the casino is liable. Intentional acts are not covered by insurance. Your best claim, based on the facts you supplied, is a lack of security at the casino. But you need to provide more facts if you want better answers. Technically you don't need a Nevada lawyer, however if you are serious about a good settlement you should have a lawyer. you should also make sure your medical condition is thoroughly investigated. Daniel J. Melican 5 stars 2 reviews Rating: 8.3 Personal Injury Lawyer in Lincoln Park, MI Reveal number tel: (313) 383-4030 Private message Call Message Profile Posted on May 10, 2013 If a case needs to be filed in State court in Nevada you would likely need an attorney licensed in Nevada. You should at least confirm the statute of limitations / any special notice requirements etc. with a Nevada lawyer. A Michigan lawyer might be able to negotiate a settlement. Any attorney would need to get detailed facts from you to try and determine any liability on the casino's part. Always consult an attorney IMMEDIATELY as there are time limitations on filing a lawsuit.
