How to reply for RFE for OPT extension?

I have graduated with Actuarial Science degree, and I am working as a Data Analyst. I have been working on my OPT for the last year, but my OPT has just expired. I’ve applied for the OPT STEM extension but I have just received RFE that says ”The form I20 that you submitted failed to indicate that you intend to engage in opt in a position that is directly related to your field of study”. I am using lots of actuarial knowledge in my current position since I am working on the margin and income prediction based on historical data. Which supporting documents should I send for this RFE? What is the estimated cost for the lawyer to help me draft needed supporting letters? Please advice

You may need an immigration lawyer, but first you need to understand a bit more about how this works. Immigration lawyers cannot change your I-20, and that is what triggered the RFE. So go back to your International Student Services Office and see if they can update your I-20 to reflect your job and its relationship to your degree. An immigration attorney can help draft the response to the RFE, but you will need a collaborative effort here in order to succeed. Try to find an immigration attorney who is familiar with the DSO and staff at your school.
